HEROES FOR HEROES is a program created to send thousands of comics overseas to the troops in Iraq & Afghanistan. Our initial goal was to send 10,000 comics with the help of very generous people like Buddy Saunders of Lone Star Comics in Texas, Chris & Shirley Lord of Humble, Texas, Jack Buscemi of New Jersey, and George S. Price III of Mission In Action International S.A., we have already exceeded sending 500,000 comics with many more to be sent! When the news of what we were trying to accomplish hit the internet, donations starting pouring in from all over the country!   With the support of so many generous, caring individuals, Heroes For Heroes surpassed over 500,000 comics sent overseas to our soldiers.  

Chaplains have E-mailed us, telling us that once the soldiers find out that there are comic books in the boxes, they tear into them like kids on Christmas!

HEROES FOR HEROES is very appreciative of DC Comics for their support & generosity!  It sure is great having an incredibly generous company behind our program.   Many friends have helped us with the program and we thank you all and while we can’t name every one here, you know who you are!

On behalf of our soldiers, we thank you so much.

We are told that the comics are practically the only source of entertainment for our soldiers in the war zone!

We received the best Christmas gift ever from a soldier and friend, TJ Tierny who sent to us the photo above of he and his fellow solders with the comics that we sent! Now if that photo doesn't make you feel great, we don't know what will. Our soldiers need to know that we are behind them,and that they are never far from our thoughts & prayers.

As long as our troops are "over there,"
we will continue to support them.
